Our Programs

From foundational steps to stage performances — discover your path in the world of dance.

Explore the Art of Bharatanatyam and Beyond

At Nrityalaya Dance Academy, each program is designed to offer a complete learning experience that blends tradition, creativity, and confidence.
Our curriculum nurtures not just technical skill but emotional expression and cultural understanding — empowering every student to grow as both a dancer and an individual.

Whether you’re beginning your journey or looking to refine your artistry, our programs provide structured, enriching pathways under the guidance of Vidushi Ramya Prasad Abhijit.

Bharatanatyam

Our Bharatanatyam program forms the heart of Nrityalaya. Rooted in the Maadhurya Maarga tradition of Dr. Tulasi Ramachandra, the classes emphasize both technical mastery and emotional storytelling.

Students learn intricate adavus (basic steps), mudras (hand gestures), abhinaya (expression), and the rhythmic beauty of nritta and nritya.

As they progress, they also explore composition, choreography, and stage performance — developing both discipline and creativity.

This program is open to learners aged 5 and above and is offered in structured levels from beginner to advanced.

Semi-Classical Dance

The Semi-Classical Dance program combines the elegance of classical Bharatanatyam with the freedom and rhythm of contemporary Indian music.

This style emphasizes graceful movement, storytelling, and musical interpretation, making it accessible and enjoyable for dancers from diverse backgrounds.

Students explore creative choreography while maintaining classical discipline — a perfect blend of tradition and modernity.

Ideal for intermediate and advanced students seeking expressive versatility and stage confidence.
